Paul McCartney Fanthology (book update #1)

Book Update #1:

Hi all!

I wanted to send out a quick update on my book–it’s still in its infancy, but I wanted to start doing updates on what I’ve been up to with it. 🙂

1. First, a BIG thank you for making the launch of my Fanthology Facebook Page such a success!  Over 230 members in about a week and a half is incredible, and well beyond my wildest dreams. 🙂  I’m hoping to have at least 450-500 members by the end of summer, so spread the word to your friends, and if you’re on Facbook, please click the link below to check it out, and if you see what you like, join. 🙂

2. I’m still collecting interviews for the book, and at this point have over 200 single-spaced pages of interview responses, with more being added every week!  This is the result of over eight months of work, and it’s exciting, and slightly terrifying, to see it all working according to plan. 🙂

I’m hoping to give a tally of where the people interviewed are from, in terms of state/country/etc., not anything more identifying than that.  It’s incredible to think of who I’ve been able to talk to at this point, and how scattered across the globe the interviewees are!

3. Speaking of interviews, I’m working on some people connected to Paul, Wings, and The Beatles and getting them involved with and included in the book, too.  If you have any suggestions, please let me know!

4. The writing part of the book will be taking place at the end of the summer/beginning of fall.  I’m going to be relocating for this coming school year, and am still trying to figure out those details.

5. I’m currently searching for an agent and publisher for my book, but am also working with Shaun Weiss on ghost writing his memories of his time with The Beatles as a fan, then eventually a friend, of the band.  If this book goes well, I imagine I’ll have an easier time of finding that elusive agent and even more elusive publisher!  First-time authors are a dime a dozen, and that’s why I’ll always be indebted to Shaun for this chance to get my name out there, and to also hear such amazing tales!

I’ll have more updates soon, and am hoping to make this a regular feature of this blog, perhaps every two weeks now, and more often as the process of writing and moving gets underway!

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I’ll talk to you all soon!
